A famous well and salt-chested incense burner. It was handed down from Sen no Rikyu to Furuta Oribe, then to the Date family via Kobori Enshu. Its name is said to be derived from a poem by Izumishikibu, “Arasaramu kono no other omoide ni konohitabito no koetomo ga na” (“I will meet you once more, now and then”). It is currently in the collection of the Nezu Museum. (Meibutsu Ki)
