Tea master. Eldest son of Sen no Rikyu, born in 1546. He was also known as Suimakuraken, Fusai, and Fukyusai. He was also called Suimakuraken, Fusai, and Fukyusai. In his later years, Zen master Haruya Souen gave him the name of Mumio. After his father’s death in 1591, he went to live with Kanamori Nagachika in Hida Province (Gifu Prefecture), but was later forgiven, and after the Battle of Sekigahara, he was welcomed by Hosokawa Sansai and became his tea master with a stipend of 300 koku. His disciples included Taga Sakon, Kuwayama Sosen, and Kanamori Kashige. His disciples included Taga Sakon, Kuwayama Sosen, and Kanamori Kashige. He was buried at Sofukuji Temple in Dazaifu (Fukuoka Prefecture) and was also moved to Jukouin of Daitokuji Temple.
