marusankakusikaku

Korean. Son of Dajeon, an assassin from Giju, Hamgyeongbuk-do, Joseon. He was the son of Dalhyeon, a Buddhist priest in Gilju, Hamgyeongbuk-do, Korea, who was shipwrecked in Kurosaki, Chikuzen Province (Shiga-cho, Kasuya-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture) in 1587, and was taken in by the Hizen Nabeshima family in 1591 and assigned to guide and interpret for them during the Bunroku period (1592-1591). During the war, he mediated the naturalization of local potters in accordance with the feudal lord Naomochi. The details of his activities are clearly described in a history submitted in June 1840 by Shiro Kawasaki, a descendant of Sohan and a dealer in rough wares in Tojinmachi, Saga Prefecture.
