Dami
Dami

When painting on a bare surface with gosu, a line drawing (called warigaki in Seto) is done first, and then a thick brush is used to apply a solution of gosu to the surface, allowing the solution to accumulate. This method is called dami, and there are three types of dami according to the density of the gozu solution: ko-dami, chu-dami, and azumu-dami. However, the darker dami is somewhat lighter than the line-drawing part. However, there are cases of dammi with colored glaze on white glaze, which is called kusuridami, and dammi with lapis lazuli glaze, which is called lapis lazuli dammi.
The ear of the dammi brush is about 12 cm long and 4 cm in diameter.
