Chigusa Irabo
Chigusa Irabo

Specialty. Chigusa Irabo, a Korean tea bowl. There were two bowls, both of which came from the Chigusa Prime Minister’s family in Kyoto, hence the inscription. One later passed through Kichiemon Omoto and Koheiji Ueda to the Hirase family in Osaka, and the other passed through Sansai Hosokawa, Otakashira Doi, Kaimori Matsudaira, and Fumai Matsudaira.
