In Suzu ware, small vases of this type, so-called seed pots, began to be produced frequently around the time of the Nanbokucho period (14th century). The upper edge of the outer neck is bent outward and beveled to a width of 7.5 mm. The center of the mouth neck still retains a slight bulge. The clay used is of unusually high quality for Suzu ware, and the pottery is well fired to produce a light gray color. There is a fine wavy pattern on the border between the shoulder and the body, and a large comb-like wavy pattern in the center of the shoulder with seven waves all around. It was made around the end of the 14th century.
