14th century
Height 30.5cm, mouth diameter 13.8cm, body diameter 26.2cm, bottom diameter 10.0cm
Myosenji
The apex of the neck of the mouth, which rises vertically, is bent outward to form a rounded rim band. A bulge is left in the center of the neck. This is a relatively thin piece made of corded clay. The striated tapping pattern has a twill-cedar shape on the body and a polyhedral appearance, but the tapping is not organized vertically and is highly disordered. The shoulder is stamped with three stamps of the bamboo tube design. The bottom is a still itokiri, with an inscription that appears to be a big eight. The ware is well finished and gray in color. It was excavated from Myosenji Temple as a warehouse bone ware.
