14th century
Height 48.4 cm, mouth diameter 15.2 cm, body diameter 44.3 cm, bottom diameter 16.5 cm
This is a typical round-bodied large jar. The neck of the mouth is small in relation to the body, and the mouth is warped. The shoulders are large and stout, giving it an imposing appearance. The body is stacked in four stages. The bright brown surface has many feldspars and the natural glaze flows down from the shoulder to half of the body. Judging from the shape of the neck and body, it is thought to have been made in the Nanboku-cho period.
