Nippon Kogei Kan
 This is a famous Tamba vase that has been used as a standard for chronology as it is one of the few Tamba vases with an inscription of a specific year. It has an engraved inscription on the shoulder: “Kouei san koshin juubetsu hi.
 However, as mentioned above, jars from this period in Tamba do not have a jade rim. The neck of the mouth is exactly the same as that of Bizen vessels. The fine wheel-thrown shaping on the surface of the potter’s wheel is not seen in the Tamba technique. The color tone of the natural glaze on the shoulder is also different from that of Tamba. It is not possible to attribute this piece to Tamba, but rather to the Bizen area, where there have been many Kino inscriptions since the Kamakura period (1185-1333). Further study is required.
