This is a cylindrical tea bowl with a slightly bulging body, deep in the middle and without a tea reservoir. The base is low and the tatami mat is thin. The rounded waist and the base of the bowl show Koetsu’s unique handiwork, and the glaze applied to the entire surface is also Koetsu’s unique glaze tone. There are many flaws around the mouth and a large gold repair on the body.
Although this tea bowl has not been known at all before, we can be sure that it was made by Koetsu.
