This piece is called “Shozuimaru” in contrast to the deformed shape of the shoe, which is called “Shozuimaru. It can be called a round shape because it maintains a regular circle rather than an oval, but in terms of shape, it should be called a cylinder.
However, this tube is not a simple tube. The cobblestone pattern at the mouth rim is a neat cylindrical shape, but the part below it, where the horseman is depicted without a window, is raised, as if a hoop had been set in place.
After passing through a flat corrugated band, the area from the waist down has a hard Shinogi-gi, or chamfering. It must be said that this is a very complicated form.
As can be seen in the figure, the patterns on each part of the body are tastefully designed and show delightful changes. In particular, the chamfering at the waist shows a very elegant composition, with poems written in lapis lazuli without windows on each side and elegant landscapes on the intervening sides. The colors of the underglaze blue are brilliant, and it is safe to say that this is one of the finest examples of its kind.
