Yellow Seto tea bowl with plum blossom design, known as "Banzai"

Height 8.4 cm, mouth diameter 10.8 cm, base diameter 6.1 cm
This bowl was probably originally made as a mukozuke (tea bowl), but is now used as a tea bowl. The glaze over the entire surface is soft and burnished in a single layer, and the sides are decorated with a design of plum bowls and irises carved in lines, over which is applied a vitriol glaze. It is somewhat thick and heavy to handle. It was once owned by Mashida Nunoo and is inscribed “Banzai” on it.
