This is a flat tea bowl that tapers slightly from the middle to the rim; the middle curves distinctly, and the foot is crafted in exactly the same style as the black tea bowl inscribed “Wakamidori.” The rim is slightly oval in shape, and the interior is round and spacious. Overall, the black glaze is applied thickly, with several round pools of glaze accumulating around the waist. There are five glaze marks on the foot. On the underside of the inner box lid, Ryoryo Sai has inscribed: “Nonkou Black Tea Bowl, Shoko-to, Left (Seal).”
