　The gently undulating mouth is distorted into a triangular shape with a single step on one side and a large base, and the width of the helmet stands within the base. The outer three sides of the mouth are decorated with diagonal lines, cypress fences, and serrated teeth, while the body is decorated with patterns of herons, flowers, and ashes, etc., and a seraglio-style design is painted on the mouth. The glaze on the interior and exterior is gray, and the influence of Mino ceramics such as Shino can be seen in the shape and design of the vessel, but the simple brushwork is unique to Karatsu. The painting has a wow effect and is one of the best among the painted Karatsu teacups. It is probably made by the Uchida Saraya Kiln or the Tani Kiln of Jioya.
