Height 5.4cm, Bowl diameter 12.6cm x 31.5cm, Bottom diameter 6.1cm x 23.0cm
This is a flat brush dish with a slightly curved shape. The sides of the dish are raised at the edge, and a brush rest is attached to the expected side of the dish. The interior and exterior are decorated with phoenixes and floral motifs, and the front is decorated with fish. The glaze is thick and slightly bluish, and the mouth is decorated with a worm-eaten glaze with a “hake” pattern and a thunderbolt pattern on the low base. The bottom of the bowl is inscribed “Made in the year of Tenmei” in iron rust, overlaid with green overglaze enamel, suggesting that this is an early example of Yi River’s work.
