Kakusuke ware was introduced in the latter half of the 5th century with the spread of Sue ware production techniques from Korea, and from the end of the 5th century to the 6th century, many Kakusuke wares were produced mainly in the Uchi-area. The clay used is of high quality, and the ware is well tempered and has a bright red color.
