At first glance, this piece appears to be Bizen ware, and is clearly modeled after Bizen ware. It is a tapped, arrow-necked container with a thin glaze over the entire surface, including the bottom, but it has the appearance of a fired ware. The bottom is raised by an ita-goshi (a raised plate), and the hem of the body is decorated with a couple of dots. It is assumed to have been made at the Tani Kiln of the jar shop.
