The Kanasaki tumulus is a 36-meter-long, front-recessed burial mound built on a hill, and a copper mirror, jade, and numerous Sue vessels were excavated from a pit-type stone chamber in the rear part of the mound during a survey in 1947.
This vessel consists of five jars attached to a triangular ring base with a rounded upper surface. The jars are not perforated, but this is evident from the shape of the mouth and neck and the copper comb-over decoration. The small holes in the base of the ring probably represent five of them. The clay is coarse and sandy, and the firing is not very hard.
