This graceful large sake bottle has a rounded, twisted mouth with a generous bulge from the neck to the base of the body.
The base is slightly high.
The entire surface from the mouth to the base is covered with lapis lazuli glaze, and the rounded patterns on the three sides of the base have been scraped off the lapis lazuli glaze and covered with white glaze.
Although it is not known where it was fired, some people believe it may have been made in the Nabeshima domain kiln.
We await further investigation.
The clay used for the takadai tatami mats has a slightly reddish hue.
