The vivid color scheme is one of the most outstanding among the Kogutani style color paintings, and is surrounded by lotus petals in the shape of a lotus flower. On the reverse side, an arabesque pattern is expressed in a spacious brush style, and a large Kakufuku inscription is also written in underglaze blue within a double circle on the inner side of the stand. Fragments similar to the design on the reverse side were excavated from the Henda Kiln at Kuromuta in the Outer Mountains of Arita.
