This is a bowl with a rounded mouth, the eight sides of which are pinched inward and outward to form a four-petaled flower ring, and a large, high stand. The front of the bowl depicts a Chinese figure reclining under a willow tree in the style of the Kano school. The lingering depiction enhances the flavor of the painting, which is also referred to as “green shade and a small break. The inner part is divided in eight directions, with alternating gauze and eight treasures (hozei) patterns, and the high stand is covered with green and yellow cloisonne. The double square inscription “FUKU” is written on the inside of the high stand and is covered with a green glaze.
