Total height 16.4 cm, aperture 6.2 cm, left and right 16.0 cm
This incense burner is in the form of a roaring Chinese lion. The body is divided into a head and a body, and the head is used as a lid. The interior and exterior of the body, the bottom of the body, and the joint of the lid show clay, while the entire surface is covered with a cloudy white glaze, which is soft and ideally finished. Underglaze iron and gouzu underglaze painting depicts a mane and curled hair, and overglaze gold overglaze painting is applied on the mane. The red color is applied only to the inside of the mouth, and the overall light coloring of the karashishi shows Ninsei’s unique sense of beauty. A small gourd-shaped seal of “Ninsei” is stamped in the center of the bottom.
