Height 20.2 cm, mouth diameter 14.0-14.6 cm, bottom diameter 8.3 cm
Like the paulownia-巴水指, this water jar has large ears on both sides and a wide mouth. It is covered with a round, flat, tubular ball-shaped lid with a cord attached. The glaze applied from the mouth to the base of the body, with a cloudy white glaze on one side and a blue oribe glaze on the other side, is effective and fresh, and the glaze is in harmony with the shape of the vessel, which suggests the typical Ninsei style. The large seal of Insei is stamped on the left side of the bottom, but there are traces of sticking glaze that has flowed out and damaged the seal. The front of the lid is covered with a thin wave pattern and the top is covered with a cloudy white glaze. This is a masterpiece among Nagare-glazed water jars. It was handed down from the Mitsui family.
