Yugi Art Museum
This is a masterpiece of Kensan covered teacups together with “Tea Bowl with Ashi crane design in underglaze iron underglaze blue”. The front and back of the lid, as well as the inside and outside of the body, are painted in white as if they were earthenware, and on top of that, spring grass patterns such as brushstrokes, Warabi, and violets are painted in a carefree manner, leaving the area around the base covered with a transparent glaze. The ten bowls are beautifully matched, and each bowl is inscribed “Qianzan” on the base, but although the brush strokes are similar, they are not strictly aligned and the signatures are very carefree. The ten bowls are housed in a beautiful box with the inscription “蓋茶碗 畫春艸十 by Qianzan” written in bold letters on the front of the lid.
