Mokubei: tea bowl in the style of gohon (Korean 16th-17th century tea bowls made to Japanese orders) ware with standing crane design

Height 8.0cm, Diameter 10.6cm, Foot Diameter 5.1cm
The lid of the box it came in is inscribed with the words “Tatsukuru teacup, Yonezo seal”. The rim of the bowl is curved outwards, and the foot has been cut off on three sides to create a split foot. The body of the bowl is carved with a standing crane design on two sides, and the white and black clay is filled in to create the appearance of a genuine standing crane tea bowl. The mark “Komei” is stamped on the foot of the bowl.
