Height: 7.8 cm, Mouth Diameter: 11.3 cm, Foot Diameter: 5.2 cm
For a Dōnyū piece, this bowl is somewhat thickly made; the rim has undulations and curves slightly inward. While the body lacks a bit of roundness, Dōnyū’s characteristic style is still evident. The body features faint, flat chamfered knots. The glaze is somewhat thick and glossy, though pitting is clearly visible in some areas. There are three marks on the folded foot rim. On the underside of the inner box lid, Jushinsai has inscribed: “Nonkou Black Tea Bowl, Old Pine Left (Seal).”
