This black Raku tea bowl imitates the style favored by Senso; it has a high body and a small, compact foot. The inner rim features a stepped edge, and the interior has a distinct tea pool. The thick black glaze applied over the entire surface has melted well, revealing traces of red glaze in some areas. Additionally, a swirl pattern is depicted on one side of the body.
A seal is stamped on the waist, but it is unclear due to the thick glaze. The lid of the inner box bears the inscription “Black Tea Bowl, Ōhi Chōzaemon,” and it comes with the original box from the sixth generation.
