Iwaki Bunrin

A Chungking specialty. A Chinese work Bunrin tea caddy, one name Kamiten Bunrin. It was owned by Iwaki Sadataka, hence the name. The variation in scenery is unparalleled, and the shape and glaze color are both excellent, making it one of the finest examples of Bunrin. In 1916, it was sold to the Sakamoto family for 56,000 yen, and in 1921, it was sold to the same family for 128,000 yen.
