Masterpiece. A karamono tea caddy by Han. This tea caddy has a beautifully lustrous black ame glaze and can be considered the original song of the Karamono Enza style. Originally from Honnoji Temple in Kyoto, it later came into the possession of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and was given to Rikyu, and later became a fixture of the Tokugawa shogunate. (Taisho Meikikan)
