A great masterpiece. A Chinese round jar tea caddy. The original owner is said to be the Tsuchida family, but the identity of the owner is unknown. The overall color is black candy and light purple, with a hint of persimmon, and the dew points of the oki shape, which slopes down to the base, are blue lapis lazuli, making this a very scenic tsuchidamaru jar.
The shape is extremely graceful due to the small base of the rokuroku. This jar was passed down through the Tsuchida clan, Ishida Mitsunari, and the Marquis of Honda to Matsudaira Fumai, and has remained in the Unshu family ever since. (Taisho Meikikan)
