A great masterpiece. A tea caddy by Han. It is said that it was named after Fudo Myoo because it did not burn despite being burned in a fire during the fall of the Osaka Castle, but this is just a popular theory. It is also said that the intricate pattern of the nadare resembles a Myoo’s fire ring, thus giving it this appearance.
It was in the possession of Matsudaira Shimofusa, and entered the Masuda family after serving as a Tokyo Kura Mataemon. (Gankan Meimono Ki, Kokin Meimono Ruiju, Taisho Meikikan)
