A small jar with a raised tip at the neck of the mouth and a rim band on the exterior surface, probably a type of seed jar. It was fired using an extremely iron-rich clay containing large particles of quartz and feldspar, and the low refractoriness of the clay caused significant distortion at the mouth rim. The clay was rolled up and molded, and the surface of the vessel was adjusted by scraping. The dark brownish-brown surface is covered with a natural glaze, giving the vessel a blackish-brown color.
