This is one of the few small Shigaraki short-necked vases made of the coarse clay characteristic of Shigaraki. It is short with a fallen shoulder and a flat chamfer on the upper surface of the mouth rim. It is well-fired and red in color, and the natural glaze on the half-surface has not completely melted, leaving it with an aged white glaze. It is unknown what it was used for, but it is one of the few small Shigaraki vases that are lovable.
