Tamba Antique Pottery Museum
This three-stripe jar, which is said to have been excavated from Tamba in ancient times, dates back to the 12th century, as evidenced by the rounded body shape and the broad double-stripe pattern on the upper, middle, and lower sections of the body, which are important clues to the age of the Tamba kilns. Although a part of the neck of the mouth is now missing, it is in perfect condition and is a good source of information that indicates the Tamba Kiln started out as a jushi ware kiln in the Tokai region.
