This is the oldest form of Tamba long jar with a closed mouth and neck, and is probably from the Inariyama Kogama kiln. Many shards of the same shape have been found from the same kiln. The body of this jar was made in a four-tiered gibi-zukuri style, with a brush used horizontally to adjust the surface of the vessel. The surface of the vessel was adjusted by using a brush horizontally. The surface of the vessel is extremely well finished, with a brownish-brown color, and the bright green natural glaze on the shoulder flows down to the lower half of the body like a waterfall, creating a wonderful appearance.
