This tea bowl also has a Raku character mark stamped in the center of the base. Since the yuzu is thickly covered, it is not clear whether it is the same mark as in the previous figure or the mark known as the Jokei mark. The workmanship is similar to the “Jirobo” shown in Figure 43, with the mouth held slightly inward in a gentle manner, the so-called Rikyu style. The glaze is brownish, but it is well melted and has a slight luster. On the back of the lid of the inner box, there is an inscription by Jyoshinsai, “Nidaime Kurocha Bowl, Mei Shihaguri Left (Hanashii)”. This may be because he judged that the seal stamped on the high stand was the Jokei seal, so he wrote “Nidaime” (second generation).
