Height 8.6 cm, mouth diameter 10.3011, base diameter 4.4 cm
This is another red tea bowl of a slightly different style from the Chojiro ware, but the overall shape is similar to the Rikyu style. It is quite thick, with the mouth held slightly inward, and the body is also bulky, with a strong roundness from the waist to the base. The entire body is covered with a white kimono, but the skin has been slightly burnished. On the back of the lid of the inner box, Tatekusai wrote “Nidaime Aka Chawan, kotemaki gougo, left (hanaseki)”. The yuzu on this tea bowl is different from “Muichimono” etc., and it is thought that it is unique to Akaraku of the Jokei period, and he may have written “Nidaime” on it as a Jokei work.
