Height 8.9cm, mouth diameter 13.5cm, base diameter 6.8cm
This is a half-tube tea bowl that was wheel-thrown in a neat manner. Oniita is painted on the base, a design of a bridge and a pine tree is carved with a fine spatula, and a feldspar glaze is applied on top of it. The oniita is strong and the glaze is thick, resulting in a dark grayish-blue color throughout, but reddish tints appear around the mouth and the rim. The area around the base is triangular in shape, and the inside of the base is whorled. The inside of the base is carved in a whorl shape, and a pine needle-shaped kiln mark is carved into the base.
On the back of the lid of the box, Yabuuchi Takeo wrote “Muso no Wakamusha Rikimaru to ko Takeo (Hanaseki)”.
