Shino tea bowl

Height 8.5cm, mouth diameter 13.6cm, base diameter 6.3cm
This tea bowl is similar to a tea bowl owned by the Nezu Museum, but the mouth is distorted into a triangular shape and the waist is stepped. The glaze has a faint reddish tint to the entire surface, but as with the Akashino tea bowl, there are traces of oniita makeup on the clay surface. There are some traces of what appears to be brush marks on the prospective and outer surfaces, but the pattern is not certain. There are traces like eye marks in three places on the omens. Probably fired in the same kiln as “Chaoyang”.
