Oribe ware has few large dishes. Both of these pieces are outstanding among those we have seen in our survey and have a pleasant, bouncy flavor. In particular, Figure 174 shows a bamboo shoot in a light line, with green glaze applied on three sides in the shape of a five-petaled ring flower. The bottoms of all of these vessels have low circular bases that have been cut out in a straightforward manner.
