The Mishima style with black-and-white inlaid design is called Mishima Karatsu, and pottery shards have been excavated from Uchida Koge, Okusano, and Hyakuma kilns, etc. It is speculated that this tea bowl was made by Okusano or Koge. The outer surface is decorated with a calendar-like pattern and a Masugata pattern in two alternating stages, with a floral pattern around the waist, and the interior is also finely decorated with three stages of white inlaid patterns. This is one of the best Mishima Karatsu teabowls of this period, and the shape is also very strong.
