Tanakamaru Collection
This is a large bowl with a ridge at the waist and an opening at the end, with a Karatsu-style pattern painted on the body. The body is painted with a Karatsu-style design. The brushwork is light, and there is no other example of such a large, deep bowl in the history of pottery. The kiln in which it was fired is not known, but it may have been the Taku Koraigaya kiln.
