 Aiji-ware jar excavated from SE311A, with “Aisho” written in ink just below the mouth rim. In the “Engishiki” (Engi Shiki), “nizakanjo” is included, which refers to a place for stewing and broth, soup, and other foodstuffs. It is thought that an official in charge of food-related matters existed in the area where this jar was excavated.
