　This is a robust gourd-shaped container with an ubaguchi-style mouth and a strongly carved base. The body is thinly brushed with white brush, and the center is covered with a thick band of cinnabar. The cinnabar coloring is deep and beautiful, and the base is red clay with high iron content. It is estimated to have been fired in the Shi no Mine kiln in the early Edo period.
