This is a very old Ibe-te sui-jigashi, probably dating from the Keicho period (1596-1591). It is an unusual style of mizusashi with an ubakuchi-style mouth, accompanied by a common lid, which is tightened at the hem of the body, and also has large drooping ears on both sides. The entire surface, except for the mouth, is covered with a thick layer of sesame glaze, and the flat bottom is marked with a kiln mark. The kiln marks are probably the same as those on Hidasuki Tokutari.
