 This is a cylindrical water vessel with a shallow drop at the mouth. The body is finely carved in the itome style. The body is finely carved in the itome style. The entire piece is rather thick, and is thought to have been made between the Keicho and Genna periods for this type of mizusashi. A spatula carving design appears at the bottom of the body, and a kiln mark is stamped on the bottom.
