Height 13.3cm, mouth diameter 11.4cm x 13.8cm, round bottom
Since the Higashiyama period (710-794), boat-shaped tsurikajo (hanging vase) made of sand-covered Chinese lacquerware was highly prized. Bizen made a copy of it. This piece is in the Ibe style, but it has an ancient character, and may be of an older age. Both are made in the same way as the boat-shaped tsuri-kasei made in the sand-bari style, and are probably part of a group of tea ceremony utensils copied from Chinese ceramics. The entire piece is thinly molded, and the bottom is probably round. The bottom is probably round. It is hard-fired and has a thin coating of sesame glaze.
