At first glance, this vase appears to be Shigaraki ware, but its hardened clay body seems to be Iga ware. This vase was also made as a hanging vase. One side of the body is covered with ash and has a black charred surface, while the other side is reddish-brown and tightly fired, with three streaks of black glaze running down the sides. The mouth is covered with a grass-green glaze. The body has two strong spatula marks and a large crack running from the bottom to the body. The back of the bowl is decorated with a King Kin. This vase was donated to the Tokyo National Museum by Hirota Fukokosai.
