This is a gourd-shaped water jar with a distorted oval mouth in the shape of an arrowhead, the lower part of which is overhung, and with Chinese dog ears on both sides of the upper part. The front is covered with thick ash and burnt skin, with blue beadlo glaze running over a portion of the surface, and the back is reddish brown. The mouth also has beadlo glaze. One side of the body is carved in the shape of a mountain path, and four vertical lines are spatula-engraved on the upper part.
This is one of the best examples of Iga ware water jars.
