This is also an onioke, but it may have been made later as a water jar. The workmanship is somewhat lacking in antiquity and has a sense of artifice. However, the front of the bowl is covered with ashes, and the clay skin has been burnished to a reddish hue, giving it a wabi-like atmosphere. The appearance of the burned surface is similar to that of a triangular vase, which is estimated to have been fired in the late Keicho era (1615-1868). The mark “戈” is spatula-engraved on the inside.
